Chernobylite is a Science Fiction Survival Horror RPG from developers Farm 51. Set in the hyper-realistic, 3D scanned wasteland of Chernobyl’s exclusion zone, you’ll take on the role of Igor, a physicist and ex-employee of the Chernobyl Power Plant, returning to Pripyat to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his fiancée, 30 years prior. Compete with the hostile military presence, other stalkers and supernatural creatures, as well as the harsh and unforgiving environment in your search to uncover the truth. Get ready for a thrilling adventure of survival, conspiracy, horror, love, and obsession.

It’s important to note that you aren’t going to be roaming around a massive open world. Missions are set in smaller sized mini zones, all with pretty distinct settings ranging from cramped streets with tall buildings to dense and foggy forests. There are lots of side areas to loot and interesting clues and events to find. Similar to how Metro handled exploration, where there were scripted events that you would otherwise miss if you didn’t explore. The photo-scanned environments are amazing, far more detailed than you ever would have expected. The music is great, the gunplay feels good and the gore and sound effects make for a real satisfying punch when you’re taking out enemies. The base building is awesome and as Todd Howard would say “It just works”.

The 3D scanned environment is just amazing. Words fail. Not only is it stunningly beautiful but is so accurate. It is a real thrill to explore all the apartments and former housing, it even feels a bit intrusive and disrespectful to rummage about in the former homes of the departed. The audio and light are very enhancing to the experience. Play for the first time on higher than normal difficulty and it will scare you. This is it, THE Chernobyl experience right here folks. Can’t be done better than the real thing. So many players compare chernobylite with stalker but no its not like stalker , its FPS version of This war of mine in chernobyl environment . This war of mine mixed with METRO mixed with Escape From Tarkov.

Construct a base from which to plan your daily operations and excursions. Utilise workstations to craft gadgets, create traps and weapons or modify existing equipment to your needs. Companions are key to your survival and the resolution of your journey. Each day requires the careful planning and assignment of resources and tasks to your comrades. Survival in the Zone is not easy, and each day brings fresh challenges as comrades die and supplies diminish. Avoid detection with stealth takedowns or engage in open armed. Danger lurks in every corner. No playthrough is the same. Like your choices, the story is in your hands. Choose wisely whether to trust your comrades or not, use resources for survival or research, and confront conflicts or evade them. The future is up to you.
